Veterans Florida, a nonprofit corporation that provides veterans career and entrepreneurship resources, recently announced that they have been awarded a $50,000 grant by The Boeing Company. As part of Boeing’s corporate giving initiative, this money will go directly towards supporting Veterans Florida’s career services program for current veterans and those actively transitioning out of service. This new funding will allow the nonprofit to reach more veterans and expand ongoing services such as skills matching, resume and interview preparation, and job placement with veteran-friendly employers in Florida.

“We are proud to have been awarded this grant from The Boeing Company to assist veterans in furthering their careers,” said Joe Marino, Executive Director of Veterans Florida. “Through Veterans Florida’s career services, our professional staff matches veterans with potential employers and helps them navigate the hiring process.”

Veterans Florida provides veteran-friendly services and resources meant to maximize veterans’ opportunities in Florida. Through their Career Service Programs veterans are able to connect with employers who are eager to hire them for jobs that put their learned military skills to use. For those wishing to start their own business, the nonprofit has created the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program to provide all of the necessary knowledge to successfully launch and operate a company.
