CoWorking Scholarship Application

Veterans Florida CoWorking Space Scholarship Application

Veterans Florida is accepting scholarship applications for coworking space. Applications are open to all servicemembers stationed in Florida or veterans residing in Florida and have a registered business on sunbiz.org. Veteran applicants (Participants) or Florida based coworking facilities (Partners) may apply for funding of a coworking space for a veteran. Participants must work with an eligible coworking space to submit the required information to Veterans Florida.

Funds awarded to a Partner shall not exceed $2,000 per participant. Funds will be paid directly to the Partner and may include membership fees, set up fees, and future use of space by the participant. Partners shall provide the participant with access to either a private office or dedicated desk space for up to six (6) months and access to local resources. In the event that the scholarship funding does not cover the full cost of the coworking space, the participant shall be responsible for the balance due to the Partner. Veterans Florida will not reimburse the Partner or participant for services already rendered or paid for coworking space.

Partner eligibility:

The coworking space should provide Participants access to local resources and shared office space. In doing so, Participants can enjoy a collaborative work environment with invaluable mentoring and networking opportunities, funding support, and shared equipment. Partners offering coworking space should include, but not be limited to, unlimited or near unlimited 24/7 access to either a private office or dedicated desk space, member-only events and workshops, conference room access, discounted venue rental, mailing and business address, access to mentorship from local business leaders and professional consultants, and Lean Startup based exposure.

  • A servicemember stationed in Florida, or
