Veterans Florida, announced today the 2021 Veterans Florida Virtual Expo presented by Bank of America will be Thursday, June 24th at 10:00 AM ET. All veterans, active-duty servicemembers, members of the Guard and Reserves, military spouses, and their families are invited to connect with career, entrepreneurship, and resource opportunities.
This year’s interactive event features a career fair stacked veteran-friendly employers in aerospace, engineering, defense, and more; top veteran entrepreneurs competing in the Battle of the Pitches; expert-led panels and workshops; state resource exhibitors; and networking and franchising opportunities all in virtual booths.
The new Florida SkillBridge Initiative will be on full display with panels for both transitioning servicemembers and employers who want to participate in DOD SkillBridge.
“Florida offers veterans and their families endless opportunities. The Veterans Florida Virtual Expo brings all of them together in one place, and our expanded interactive format lets servicemembers and veterans from around the country see and take advantage of all the resources that make Florida the top state for veterans,” said Veterans Florida Executive Director Joe Marino.
The 2021 Veterans Florida Virtual Expo will be hosted by Premier Virtual — a South Florida-based online career fair and event platform founded by Army veteran Steve Edwards. He participated in the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program to learn how to grow his veteran-owned business and won 1st place in the 2020 Veterans Florida Virtual Expo Battle of the Pitches competition. Premier Virtual’s client roster includes the U.S. Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Career Source Florida, and Texas Workforce Commission.
“Participating in the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program gave me valuable insight on how to improve Premier Virtual and learning how to see the business in a new light helped it grow to where it is today,” said Premier Virtual Founder and CEO Steve Edwards. “The team and I at Premier Virtual look forward to hosting the 2021 Virtual Expo and providing a one-of-a-kind experience for veterans seeking jobs and entrepreneurship resources as well as exhibitors from Florida.”
