Dirk Hood, Veteran Opportunity Partner Manager
Dirk Hood is a U.S. Army veteran, security professional, skilled tradesman, and sales professional whose career has been built on leadership, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
During his six years in the U.S. Army, Dirk served as a Cavalry Scout, completing assignments in South Korea, at Fort Carson, Colorado, and as Cadre at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he helped train and mentor the next generation of soldiers. He also completed a deployment to Iraq, gaining valuable operational experience in demanding and high-pressure environments.
Following his military service, Dirk successfully transitioned into the private sector, holding leadership roles as an Executive Protection Supervisor and Department of Defense Security Supervisor. He later spent a decade working as a welder before transitioning into sales. Dirk joined Veterans Florida in May 2026.
